Purpose:

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousnes; and all these things shall be added unto you-Matthew 6:33

Our purpose is based on a foundation of priority, seeking His face before seeking His hands. Delighting ourselves in the Lord guarantees the fulfillment of His promises and our heart’s desires. Seeking Him first allows for our needs to be met while we faithfully and dutifully carry out His will on earth. VKLCC is a church of prayer, worship, and the Word of God! We are here to proclaim the “Good News of our Salvation” and that it is free to all who accept Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. It is our desire that everyone who worships with VKLCC come to know the Lord on a personal basis and can comfortably with confidence know what you believe, why you believe, and where to find it in the Bible.

Mission:

Our mission is to grow VKLCC members to a level of maturity in service, accountability, and availability in order to sustain the wellness of our church and become leaders in Christ. Share in fellowship with God’s people from the entire body of Christ. Validate and defend God’s original design, purpose, position, and pleasure for the sacred covenants of marriage and the institution of family. Empower and encourage all of God’s people, both young and old, to employ their gifts for the building of God’s Kingdom through teamwork in ministry so that we may be united as one in God. Overall, our mission is for us to G.I.V.E. so that GOD GET the glory

Vision:

And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power. That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God-1  Corinthians 2:4-5

Our desire is to remind the people of the fundamental Church of Christ and instill the basic principles of preaching and teaching in the hearts and spirits of the people. Although improvements incorporated into the Church via modified methodology take advantage of new technology, ideas, and practices, we intend to maintain the integrity of the Church of Christ by advocating and keeping with the traditional principles of the Church. Because the Church should still look, sound, and feel like the Church regardless of those we are trying to attract, we are convicted that it is our responsibility to keep intact the DNA make-up and identity of the Church of Christ. We are here to transform lives to the image of Christ, and we will not conform to the world’s ideology of “playing” Church. Church is not subject and limited to man’s taste palate; it’s a spiritual buffet where everything on the menu is able to satisfy the spiritual appetite because it’s the Holy Spirit cooking up and serving the nourishment needed for our spirit, body, and mind, which is the Bread of Life.
