I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers!-Isaiah 65:24

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us-whatever we ask-we know that we have what we asked of him.

1 John 5:14-14

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and will be yours.-Mark 11:24

They went right into the house where he was staying, and Jesus asked them, “Do you believe I can make you see?”-Matthew 9:38

Sinner's Prayer

Father God, I know that I have sinned against you and have gone my own way. Please forgive me, change me. I need Jesus to come into my life; I believe He died and shed His blood to cleanse me from all of my sin. I ask you to be my Lord and Savior. Thank you for eternal life. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Greetings VKLC Family,

After much prayer, we will be continuing our journey this month in the book of Galatians.

Why read these books?

People who care about nutrition often read the labels before buying packaged foods. Why? They’re on the lookout for additives and ingredients that may be hazardous to their health. Similarly, Galatians warns against mixing legalism and human works into the simple gospel. It describes artificial spiritual additives and their toxic effects. This book offers us a spiritual health check-a clear explanation of what it means to be saved by faith.

Who wrote this book? Paul, the apostle.

To whom was it written? To Christians in Galatia, a Roman province in the central part of what is now called Turkey.

When was it written? Probably around A.D. 48 to 53, less than 25 years after Jesus Christ’s ministry on earth.

Why was it written? To denounce and correct false teachings that had infiltrated the churches Paul and Barnabas had earlier established. False teachers insisted that Gentile Christians keep the ritual laws of the Jews. Paul, stinging from their personal attacks against him, also wrote to defend his integrity as an apostle and reassert his love for the Galatians.

Galatians will take us back to the basics-what the gospel is, how you receive it, and how you can apply it to your daily life. Paul uses several techniques (his own conversion story, an illustration from Abraham’s life, and even sarcasm) to persuade the Galatians to return to the true gospel. I look forward to this exiting journey with you. Please invite a friend.
